What Pagehand stores, and what it sends
There is no Pagehand account, no billing system, and no telemetry endpoint. This page matches the free Open-Tab SEO extension in the package.
Stored on this device
Optional UI preferences in chrome.storage.local only. Pagehand does not store your browsing history, cookie jars, or full page HTML. Uninstalling removes what it stored.
What the audit reads
When you click Audit this tab, Pagehand reads the active tab’s DOM in your browser: title, meta tags, headings, visible text for keyword stats, links, images, social tags, and JSON-LD. The report is built locally in the side panel.
Network
From the page context, Pagehand may fetch that site’s same-origin /robots.txt so the Tech tab can show crawl directives and sitemap URLs. It does not upload the audit to a Pagehand server — there is none. It does not call ranking or backlink APIs.
Money and ads
Pagehand is free forever. We do not sell audits, show ads in the panel, or charge for Keywords / Export. See Free forever.
